RETHINK. RECYCLE. REDESIGN. is a juried art exhibition, which seeks to promote and
encourage green design and sustainability. It was created to challenge artists and designers to RETHINK objects that have reached the end of their lifecycles. The idea is to RECYCLE and REDESIGN by repurposing and transforming objects into art—functional and non-functional.

The 2nd annual event is a collaboration with the Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts and will be featured at the Six-Day Cellars venue at the festival April 20-25, 2010.

RETHINK. RECYCLE. REDESIGN. was born out of Jacine Arias' MFA thesis project which explored how green design can be used as an effective instrument for social change.

"From the moment I started thinking about my thesis, I knew I wanted it to be more than just a paper with a related art project. My experience in the non-profit world made the idea of an art event to raise awareness about sustainability a perfect solution it also gave me the opportunity to showcase my green poster series printed on paper I recycled and made by hand."—Jacine Arias
